Chuck Wagon Dinner for Groups
For groups looking for something a little different, Dahlonega Carriage and Horseback Rides also offers a horse-drawn Chuck Wagon Dinner experience.
Guests meet at the stables at Forrest Hills Resort and board horse-drawn wagons for an approximately 15-minute scenic ride to the company's private Riverhouse property, located off the resort on 30 wooded acres.
Once there, enjoy a cookout with grilled steak and chicken, traditional sides, fruit cobbler and sweet tea, along with live music in a rustic open-air saloon-style setting beside a stream.
There's also a bonfire, a double-deck gazebo and a short wooden bridge leading to Horseshoe Island, where guests can play horseshoes.
Chuck Wagon Dinners are a group-only experience with a minimum of 20 guests and require advance arrangements.
