What If It Rains?

A little North Georgia weather doesn't have to spoil the moment.
If rain changes your Secret Garden ceremony plans, the Fox Hollow Gazebo may be used at no additional charge when available. The covered gazebo is large enough for all 10 members of your elopement party to gather inside.
Couples who prefer an indoor ceremony may ask about upgrading to our Wedding Chapel for an additional charge. Chapel availability for elopements is limited and is typically available on midweek dates.

Getting Your Georgia Marriage License
Planning your elopement from out of town? Since Forrest Hills Resort is located in Lumpkin County, couples who are not Georgia residents can obtain their Georgia marriage license from the Lumpkin County Probate Court in Dahlonega.
Both parties must appear in person, and we recommend completing the county's online marriage-license application before your visit.
Marriage-license requirements and fees are determined by the State of Georgia and Lumpkin County and may change, so please confirm current requirements directly with the Probate Court before your stay.
