Our four Deluxe Double Cabins are a great choice for couples traveling with their dogs and families who don't need separate sleeping areas.
These spacious one-bedroom cabins have an open floor plan with two queen beds and a sleeper sofa in the living area. Gather around the wood-burning fireplace, relax beneath the open-beam ceiling or enjoy a soak in your private hot tub.
Outside, a porch with a swing overlooks the valley and horses below — a peaceful place for morning coffee or a quiet evening in the mountains.

You don't have to be traveling with children to choose a Deluxe Double. Couples frequently reserve these cabins because they are pet friendly while still offering many of the features of our romantic cabins — including a private hot tub, fireplace, porch swing and cozy mountain atmosphere.
The biggest difference? Instead of one king bed, you'll have two queen beds and additional sleeping space.
Good to Know: The Deluxe Double has an open floor plan, so it does not provide separate sleeping privacy for parents and children. If private bedrooms are important to your family, our Two-Bedroom Cabin below will be the better choice OR a two-story suite in our Mountain Laurel Inn.
Two-Bedroom Family Cabin

For families who want more room and privacy, our Two-Bedroom Cabin gives everyone space to spread out while still staying together under one roof.
Each of the two private bedrooms features a king bed and its own full bathroom. An additional half bath provides even more convenience for families and groups traveling together.
The living room includes a daybed with trundle for additional sleeping space, along with a gas-log fireplace and open-beam ceilings.
You'll also have a full kitchen — the only cabin type at Forrest Hills Resort where a full kitchen is guaranteed — making this an especially convenient choice for families and longer stays.
The private hot tub is located in its own dedicated room, separate from the bedrooms and main living area.

Which Cabin is Best For Your Family?
Pet-Friendly Cabin Policy
We know dogs are part of the family, too. Both cabin types on this page welcome dogs with the following guidelines:
Up to 2 dogs per cabin
Dogs must be under 40 pounds each
$25 per dog, per night
Dogs must be kept on a leash while on resort property
If your dog will be left alone in the cabin, we strongly recommend using a crate
Please let us know when booking that you'll be bringing your dog so we can make sure everything is ready for your stay.
Traveling With Toddlers? A Note About Hot Tub Safety
Both of these cabin types include a private hot tub. Because the hot tubs are not covered, families traveling with toddlers and young children should plan for constant adult supervision whenever children are in or near the hot tub area.
If you would rather not have a filled hot tub during your family's stay, just let us know. We're happy to drain the hot tub before your arrival for added peace of mind.
