Individual cabins may be reserved online, but group lodging availability and retreat packages are not displayed through our online booking system.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We require a minimum of 8 rooms for group packages and rates. Small groups with 8 rooms range in size from 8 to 32.

    With a total of 52 group lodge rooms we can sleep 52 at single occupancy, 104 without sharing a bed, and as many as 210 when beds are shared and sleeper sofas are utilized. This does not include the use of 27 small private cabins.

    Our largest dining space will seat up to 200 while our largest meeting space seats up to 150 theater style

  • Yes! Many groups reserve multiple cabins, rooms, or lodge buildings to create the perfect lodging arrangement. Our team can help recommend the best combination of accommodations based on your group's size and needs.

  • Absolutely. Forrest Hills offers seven meeting rooms along with hospitality suites and flexible gathering spaces for retreats. Several group lodges have a dedicated meeting room built right into them.

    Our Conference Center houses two of our largest meeting rooms.

  • Yes! Forrest Hills offers free on-site parking, including space that can accommodate buses and larger vehicles for group arrivals. If you're traveling by motorcoach or bus, let our team know when requesting your group rate so we can help coordinate your arrival.

  • Yes. We offer custom meal plans, casual group buffet dining, catered breaks, banquets, and rehearsal dinners. Our team will work with you to create dining options that fit your schedule and group's needs.

  • We chose Forest Hills as the site for a Church Leader Summit. 70 of us attended. The resort was great to work with. The group sales team was responsive and communicative. The facilities were perfect for us - we booked 4 lodges and used the conference center space for whole group gatherings. The rooms were well apportioned and comfortable. The mountain setting was wonderful - even in the dead of winter. The location is just far enough off the beaten path to be considered remote and yet downtown Dahlonega is only about 15 minutes away. Atlanta is less than an hour. The food was outstanding! Though this was a group trip, I would love to go back for a couple's getaway or a trip with friends.

  • This a terrific place for a weekend getaway, company retreat, team-building exercise, banquet, wedding, or whatever you can imagine. The facility is attractive and frequently upgraded, the forested location is outstanding, and the experience doesn't disappoint. There are meeting rooms, dining rooms, banquet halls, cabins, and even a dedicated chapel that is perfect for intimate wedding ceremonies. You can even visit for Sunday lunch if you're so inclined.   • My church group organized a retreat at the resort. Rooms are roomy and clean. Conference center is nice. Food were great at the dining hall. Sand volleyball, basketball half court, small swimming pool and a horse stable for horseback riding are available.
